Capturing the essence of this guest home at the Yellowstone Club was all about finding harmony between the design and the natural world outside. As I arrived, snow blanketed the landscape, setting a calm, cozy tone. The neutral earthy palette inside felt instantly warm and inviting, blending beautifully with the wintery backdrop. From my perspective, it was a moment to lean into the story that the home wanted to tell: a haven of warmth, grounded in nature.

The stacked stone fireplace was the heart of the cabin, and I wanted the photos to draw viewers right to its rugged textures and warmth, especially against the soft whites and gentle grays visible through the windows. I worked closely with the natural light coming in, emphasizing how it played off the stone, wood, and warm fabrics throughout the rooms. Each shot captured the room’s welcoming embrace, crafted with care by interior designer Bill Peace of Peace Design. Bill brought in unique antique pieces, adding a layer of authenticity and history to the space that grounded it in a timeless, rustic feel. These antiques played beautifully with Faure Halvorsen’s architectural elements, which created spaces that feel open yet intimate.

Highline Partners’ craftsmanship was evident in every detail, showing a dedication to quality that made each space feel intentional and personal. And the art pieces—tasteful, Western-inspired, yet timeless—complemented the home’s character without overpowering it. Every element worked together to tell a story of comfort and care, and on this snowy day, I couldn’t have asked for a more fitting setting to showcase the design vision. It’s exciting to see this cozy cabin featured in Mountain Living, where its story of rich textures and thoughtful design comes to life.
